If the quantities are increased, the cooking time may be extended, so look again. Use water & spices sparingly at first and add more later if needed.
Strain sardines and reserve tomato sauce. Remove backbone and flake sardines. Set aside.
Sauté sardines, onion, carrot and singkamas in oil. Season with ¾ sachet of MAGGI® Magic Sarap®. Transfer on a wide plate to cool.
Wrap 2 tbsp of the sardine mixture with lumpia wrapper. Fry in oil until golden brown. Transfer on a cooling rack to drain excess oil.
To make the sauce, combine reserved sauce, water, brown sugar and remaining ¼ sachet of MAGGI® Magic Sarap®. Simmer for 1min. Pour into a serving container and top with spring onion.
Cut lumpia in half, transfer on a serving plate and serve with dipping sauce.
