Bangus Bistek
Bangus Bistek is a Filipino recipe made with soy sauce, calamansi juice, onions, and milkfish. It is a variation of the traditional bistek Tagalog, which uses beef. The recipe became popular in the 1960s when milkfish farming became widespread in the Philippines and is now a beloved part of Filipino cuisine.

Step1
5 MinFry potato in preheated oil until golden brown. Remove and set aside. -

5 MinSauté onion in the same oil until golden brown. Strain and set aside. -

10 MinSeason bangus with MAGGI® Magic Sarap® and coat well with flour. Fry in the same oil until golden brown. Remove and set aside. -

10 MinRemove oil from the pan leaving 2 tbsp. Sauté garlic until light golden brown. Pour water and simmer. Add MAGGI® Oyster Sauce, calamansi juice, sugar and pepper. Add back fried bangus and potato and simmer for 2 minutes. -

5 MinTransfer on a serving plate, top with sautéed onion, spring onion and toasted garlic. Serve immediately.
