Sweet sour tilapia is a popular Filipino dish that combines the flavors of sweet and sour in a delicious and tangy sauce. The dish is made by frying tilapia fish until crispy and then smothering it in a sweet and sour sauce made from vinegar, sugar, and ketchup. This dish has its roots in Chinese cuisine, as sweet and sour flavors are commonly used in Chinese cooking. Over time, the recipe has been adapted and made its way into Filipino cuisine, where it has become a beloved and iconic dish. Sweet and sour tilapia is often served with steamed rice and is a favorite at family gatherings and special occasions.
